Pray with Nature: Echoes of Christ’s Passion in Creation

This Holy Week, our Laudato Si’ Centre team invites you to embark on a digital pilgrimage of prayer, inspired by the beauty of creation.

Throughout the week, the team will be using different items of nature to help us step into the story of Christ’s Passion in this most solemn of weeks.

Beginning on Palm Sunday, each day of Holy Week will present a new scripture passage, reflection, and prayer – inspired by an item of nature.

You can pray along by following the Laudato Si’ Centre on Facebook or Instagram, or you can return to this page for our full series of reflections.

Emily Cahill, Environment and Learning Officer for the Laudato Si’ Centre, said: “Each year, Holy Week presents us with a beautiful challenge of walking with Jesus through His Passion, death, and resurrection.

“From the striking imagery of the Crown of Thorns, to the shrill sound of the cockerel’s crow, the Gospels present us with such vivid examples of nature’s part in the Passion story.

“This year, we invite you to walk with Jesus in a new way, by drawing our attention to these details: creation’s echoes of the Passion of Christ.”

To pray along, please return to this page on Palm Sunday to download our reflections resource.
